LOSÆTER DANCE

Proposal for Losæter garden

Alongside school projects, when I arrived to Oslo last year, Losæter garden took care of me. A place for healing.
Beside its strong contrast of being an organic garden on top of a car tunnel, and the fact that it is an art project by “Future Farmers” collective, this garden offers me care, beautiful encounters and lessons on every visit. It is where I learned about biodiversity, took part in its participatory communal dinners on Wednesdays... I want to give back to that place, by complemnting the horizontal Garden Vs Car tunnel contrast, with another vertical one, which will let more people see this utopian setting from far. Leting the wind Articulate the magic and serendipities that happens in Losæter.
In the middle of that garden, we find two monumental cement towers, which are the exhausts coming out of the car tunnel below. I am developing a proposal for a temporary installation with textiles fixed in between these out-of-scale cement structures. An installation which will shimmer colors with every wind gust, and spread Losæter magic on a city scale. The proposal include realistic computer generated 3D drawings, photography and text on the process, physical model, meetings with people who might be able to advise on how to get the authorization to install. Ideally for this project would be to collect and use the “Markise” fabric from the destroyed wooden houses in the towns becoming cities around Oslo.
